FARCO

The original technology comes from the R & D of the German tractor factory FAHR AG, in collaboration with Farmobil AG. Both are world-renowned leaders in the production of small-scale vehicles. A technique that has brought the legendary Farmobil, the precursor of PONY vehicles.

The collaboration of FAHR AG, Germany, with Farmobil AG, Switzerland, with the Contogouris family, was launched and implemented by Peter-Tzanetos Kondogouris, the father of the automotive industry in Greece. The FARMOBIL vehicle was the first step in the success story of FARCO AG.

FARCO AG was founded in 1959 in Thessaloniki, as a consortium of the Contogouris Group and the renowned inventor and industrialist Dr. Wilfried Fahr.

The great success of FARCO AG and the systematic work of Peter-Tzanetos Kondogouris in the USA, succeeded in bringing to Thessaloniki in 1962, the then leading American carmaker, CHRYSLER INTERNATIONAL.
